SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED FOR FEBRUARY 6, 2009 ART HOP
DOWNTOWN KALAMAZOO, MI--The downtown Kalamazoo Art Hop will feature exhibitions at 12 locations. Art Hop is a monthly event coordinated by the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo. Events are free and open to the public. In most cases, the artwork is for sale and artists are on hand to discuss their work.
The following Traditional sites are arranged in no particular order, and represent traditional art hop locations. Please note that hours vary at each site.

5-7pm Arts Council (Gallery Sponsored by Miller Johnson) Sharon Sargent Eckstein, pen and ink illustrations “The Voices in your Head: an illustrated guide to your inner life”
6-8pm Kingscott Brandi Read, oil paintings
5:30-7:30pm West Michigan Cancer Center Helen Klecznski, watercolor, “Come to the Water”
5-8pm Diekema-Hamann Dave Middleton,Charcoal and Graphite Drawings “Light Beckons—Images in Black and White”
5-7:30pm Barnabee Gallery, Powell Library Andra Elksnis, Acrylic Paintings
5-8pm Columbia Building Ellen Armstrong, oil paintings
5-7pm Black Arts and Cultural Center “Works from the Joyce A. Brown, Ph.D. Collection”
5-7pm KVCC Center for New Media Faculty Show in varied mediums
5-7:30pm Fire Studio and Gallery Teen Artist Show, Mixed Media, Live performance by J-Exclusive
5-9pm Saniwax Gallery at Park Trades Center Fourth Annual WMU BFA and MFA Student Show
5-9pm West Michigan Glass Society “Masquerade” glassblowing and bead making demonstrations
5-8pm Henderson Castle “Teachers as Artists: Part II” Live Music
Many traditional Art Hop locations exhibit works throughout the month.
