Art Hop

Art Hop is an evening of receptions in honor of new, visual art exhibitions. It is held on the first Friday of every month except during months that the event may coincide with a holiday or holiday weekend. In these cases, the Hop is delayed one week. Traditional sites are used monthly. In addition, four times each year, Art Hop is expanded to include other sites including retail or business locations around downtown Kalamazoo. Art Hop’s objectives include, but are not limited to the following:

Providing an opportunity for viewing fine art (visual) by local or regional artists. (Occasionally, national or international artists visiting Kalamazoo for an exhibition in an Art Hop approved site may be included.)
Encouraging the purchase of fine art in visual mediums
Providing an event that draws visitors of all ages to Greater Kalamazoo, thereby encouraging area development
