Sara Strong was born and raised in the Upper Lower Peninsula of Michigan near a little town called Petoskey. During her childhood, she remembers making forts in the woods with her siblings and sleeping on the back porch among a canopy of illuminating stars on warm summer nights. Sara and her sister were constantly creating: contraptions, mini-sewing projects, and beaded jewelry. Her life up North could be imagined by reading the writings of Ernest Hemingway, whose summer cottage was only within miles of where she grew up. As a result of her childhood, these memories fuel Sara�s desire to paint and tell her story.
